1963 Ford Falcon Sprint

Ship Your Car Now was happy to be able to transport a mint 1963 ½ Falcon Sprint for one of our VIP clients from Minnesota to Australia. As usual, the vehicle arrived safely, securely and in a timely fashion.

Ford Motor Company started manufacturing the Ford Falcon in 1960 at a facility in Broadmeadows, Victoria, Australia.

The first production model was a family vehicle. Since then, the Falcon has been introduced in many other forms including sedans, station wagons, panel vans, and even as a pickup truck.

Starting out, the Falcon was equipped with 144 cubic inch cylinders and sported a 3 speed manual or 2 speed auto transmissions.

The Sprint was introduced in 1963 and ran on a v8 engine with the option of 116 BHP and a 260 ci displacement. There was another option of 200 BHP and 289 ci. It featured front and rear brakes as well as front and rear suspension

The car weighed in at around 3008 lbs and remained in production until 1965. The Ford Falcon continued on and was sold in the US, Canada, Mexico, Chile, Argentina and Australia until 1970. Production continued independently in Australia for many years.
